Connor Williams, remember the name.
The 213cm, 163kg college basketball player has become an overnight internet sensation thanks to his impressive ability on the court.
A highlight reel featuring Williams has now gone viral online – and it proves why fans are so desperate to see him drafted into the NBA.
Granted, Williams is only playing for division three New York school St John Fisher College, but he’s still tearing his opponents to shreds with relative ease.
A highlight reel showcasing him dominating the court has now surfaced on social media and the talented teen is just as effective in defence as he is offensively – I mean, check out the flawless technique on his jumper.
But it seems like one clip in particular has caught everyone’s attention.
Coming up against division one side University of Buffalo, Williams’ St John Fisher College were put to the sword, but one piece of individual brilliance has catapulted the fan favourite into superstardom.
In the video, Williams was accidentally tripped by a rival player as he made his way up the court.
The No.50 slowly made his way to his feet but appeared injured as he limped away to the three-point line.
But before he even had a chance to regather himself, Williams was passed the ball on the arc.
Instead of simply handing it off to a teammate and serving as a blocker, Williams channelled his inner Magic Johnson and produced an absolute dime which put the ball on a silver platter for his teammate to score.
Since then, a number of clips displaying his natural basketball ability have surfaced on social media with Williams well and truly winning over the hearts of sports fans across the globe.
It’s understood he’s averaging 3.2 points and 1.2 rebounds in his first year at collegiate level.
