Todd was born as the middle child of three and the only son of the Beamer couple.
The Beamer family is originally from Michigan while they relocated to Poughkeepsie, New York, and then to Wheaton, Illinois, later in life.
David worked at Amdahl, a computer technology company while they started a new life in Wheaton.
The Beamer family has been described as modern and the Beamer children were taught with a strong biblical value system and work ethic.
