WHEN Mahri Smith, an 18-year old model from Ottawa, posted a collection of selfies on Twitter, it was because they made her smile.
Little did she realise that sharing them would make thousands of people all over the world smile with her.
While on a night out at a local casino with friends, Mahri and her group stopped to take a few bathroom selfies, as is the usual thing to do these days.
It was then a kind older lady came in and offered to take a picture of all of them together.
Mahri took to Twitter to share the interaction with her followers.
She wrote: “A lady came in and was so chatty with me and kind and she had said that she missed going out with her girlfriends and dressing up.
“I just said, we are your girlfriends, like, look at you, you look gorgeous!”
The group then went on to include the lady in the rest of their smiley selfies.
The photos have racked up 248,688 likes and 72,432 shares, with people commenting on how much the images warmed their hearts.
User @sarahhford tweeted: “This is by far the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
And @shanaynaybug said: “GET OUT. This made my whole damn weekend. Seriously. You probably made her day so much better.”
Well this story – and the amazing pictures – definitely made our day so much better.
