Miguel Leon Tyson channelled his inner Mike Tyson by showcasing his ferocious skills and impressive boxing ability while working the pads with his father.
Iron Mike built a formidable legacy in the heavyweight division and is fondly remembered for his ferocious boxing style and knockout power.
The 55-year-old American superstar’s peek-a-boo style allowed the legendary former boxer to cause all sorts of problems for his opponents inside the squared circle.
And Tyson showed the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to the boxing skills of Miguel, who wowed fans with his display on the pads.
The Baddest Man on the Planet uploaded the video to his Instagram, with Miguel throwing dangerous lefts and rights during a superb combination of shots.
Miguel managed to land ferocious uppercuts while the boxing legend continued to back up, with Tyson’s son showing his quick footwork while weaving in and out of shots.
“Not quite the uppercut like his dad yet, can’t see it being long [though] until his dad gives him the masterclass,” one fan said.
Someone else posted: “He hasn’t been doing this for years? That’s crazy. Decent head movement, footwork and technique.”
While a third wrote: “I hope for Mike Tyson so much that his son will be a great fighter like him. His moving [sic] is [exactly] like his father.”
And a fourth added: “All I can say is I wish Mike Tyson was still in boxing either as a manager or promoter. I wouldn’t bet against his son if Tyson was seriously training him either.”
Tyson retired from boxing after he suffered back-to-back defeats against Danny Williams and Kevin McBride in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
The former undisputed world heavyweight champ made his long-awaited return to the squared circle against boxing legend Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition clash in 2020.
Both Tyson and Jones went the full eight rounds at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with the contest ending in a split draw.
The youngest heavyweight champion in boxing is rumoured to make his return to the ring against YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul in 2022.
Tyson revealed that his son Amir wants to enter boxing and fight against the likes of Paul, but he warned him of the consequences of “getting humiliated in front of millions of people.”
Speaking on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson in July, he said: “I have my kid, the oldest one, he’s 24. He wants to do this so bad.
“I said, ‘Man, just chill the f**k out.’ He wants to fight Logan Paul and those guys. He wants to do that.
‘I said, ‘Man, just get a job. Get a real estate licence. Just chill out, man. Why can’t you take advantage of your lightweight wealthiness? Just chill.’
“You don’t want none of that heat. I’m telling you. This drives people to commit suicide, getting humiliated in front of millions of people.
“You gotta be able to take that pressure and heat. Not many people can do it.
“It seems like a lot of people, but the people doing it is such a small per cent. It’s probably one per cent.”
